Which wolf wins?

We all struggle with the choices we make in the daily. It is a constant battle that we unconsciously fight. One mistake and it could ruin our lives, one right move and every positive things will align. Frank as it may sound, but when the fight actually starts, you consciously know what’s needed to be done.

There’s two wolves always fighting inside of us. It’s just a matter of choosing between fight or flight, between the evil or the good, between anger or joy, and between everything that contrasts. So which wolf wins? The one you feed.

In life, the wolf you feed is the wolf that wins, trust me, it becomes messy. We will always need to find ways to manage our minds amidst the conflict, so that we’re aligned to what we think will better suit us. Our own thoughts and feelings can be the source of our own convenience or distress, and we personally hold the ability to decide which wolf to feed.

When life gets really messy, I hope you will give credit to your good sides and not let the bad side win. Think about the implications of the bad, but please nurture all the positive things. It is hard, but you are beautiful. Your negative thoughts will try to destroy you but defeat that with the idea that you are stronger than the pain; that you are better off without the lingering thoughts of misery.

Your mind will always be a war zone, but please remind yourself that it’s also a paradise at the same time.

Feed the peace. not the envy. Feed the joy and never the anger. Feed the faith over ego, and please feed the kindness over the arrogance. This world is pretty scary and feeding the bad side will only contribute to the darkness we no longer need.

Wolves are strong and beautiful, anyway.

“A Cherokee elder was teaching his young grandson about life.
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil- he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt and ego.
The other is good- he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.
This same fight is going on inside you—and inside every other person, too.”
The boy thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf will win?”
The elder simply replied,
“The one you feed.”
